New Year Day Miracle. Today my mom gave me a box full of my old childhood comics- Comics I haven't seen in over 30 years! It appears my dad saved these old comics for me over the years. Needless to say, I'm overwhelmed with memories & emotions.. Very similar to the final scene in Cinema Paradiso.

Happy New Year, Everyone!!! Not getting enough sleep this week and going to the gym caught up with me. (Leg days are the worst.) I am absolutely wrecked. It's almost 10:00 PM, I'm going to curl with a good novel (okay, Youtube) and go to bed. See you guys in 2026.

HEALTHY AS A HORSE! Went in for my 3 month diabetes check up. Lost 20 pounds. Vitals normal. Blood pressure normal. No high cholesterol. No diabetes! It's been 9 months of normal A1C. 9 months of no diabetes. I haven't been this healthy in over 20 years. Next on my list... a nap. :-D

I needed a good laugh today, and this definitely delivered. Man, I love old comics. :-D

With the convention season over, I’ve been relaxing & rereading comics from my childhood. I remember reading an old battered issue of DC Comics Presents #2 as a kid, just marveling at Garcia Lopez’s stunning artwork. I loved Garcia Lopez’s art then and even more so as a seasoned professional.

Beholden to no one, my schedule has been erratic of late. I sleep when tired. I eat when hungry. And I work nonstop. There’re about a dozen creator-owned books I want to write and draw, 100+ paintings I want to paint, and I want to sculpt just out of curiosity. My mind is everywhere today.
