Cows. (We live on open range and the cows have pushed down our north fence. The dogs do not like cows in their territory.)

Saw a tarantula hawk the other day. Have not seen any tarantulas yet this year.

Marsh, smooth Saluki, and Khroma, West Siberian Laika. Summer is coming on and Khroma has reached the exploding cattail phase of her shed cycle.

Took MPG-17 Style Gen Prime out of the box and messed with him yesterday, so I thought I’d do a quick and dirty review. 🧵 See photo alt text for commentary. TLDR: worthy successor to MP10, pretty, good articulation, sturdy ‘toy like’ feel (not delicate or fidgety), intuitive transformation.

Put Yolopark AMK PRO Tarn together for Brett. Very stiff joints and hard to pose. (Brett knows next to nothing about Tarn, he just likes the design.) (Also I am very out of practice photographing toys and for some reason couldn’t get a sharp pic w/my phone.)

That heartbeat sound started on Speak to Me and I actually wandered around the room looking for a gakking dog before my brain kicked in.

I’ve been building models kits in the evenings to keep my hands limber (and limit doomscrolling.) I bought him because he was pretty. First kit I’ve done since high school (not including a half finished HG Barbatos 6th form. And Blokees don’t count; no tools needed.)

Dogs. See alt text. Our old place was so remote they’d see strange cars maybe twice a year. Now we’re on a paved road, and there’s multiple cars a day to be barked at, especially the white trucks going to the power station down the road aways. White trucks are the worst.

I miss the canyons and bluffs at our other property. All we have here are some unenthusiastic hills. We had a ton of rain this summer and our cleared space exploded with weeds and grass. Goatheads. We hateses them.
