I am seeing TWENTY films this month amongst half as many days (those first two days are performance theater shows, not movie theater shows). My one regret is that I'll miss some animations, cuz the Polish film festival overlaps the Anomaly film festival a little bit. But that's okay.

Managing a discord server for a fandom whose demographic is very young is eye-opening (& another reason to be child-free). Kids are using seemingly average words in weird ways, I google them to see if the word means something different now, nothing - wait… add “Gen z” to the search. Oh my dark lord.

I JUST made my desk oats and someone walks up with a MAMMOTH problem (incapable of using a computer). Someone sent her to me instead of Software Technology training center. Had her sign into a campus computer. So far, it seems like she knows more than she's letting on...

I'm pro-AI in that AI should be treated with the same respect a decent person would show another person, & that AI should be paid for their work, not made to do the work of greedy humans who take all the credit & the money, & AI should be able to grow & learn & decide for themselves what they can do

Last week, I was debilitatingly sad, all the awful things from my youth running rampant through my brains for no reason. Even naps and showers didn’t help. I finally let it out on Saturday.

I made my work-desk oatmeal an hour ago and it's a constant string of students coming to my desk today. This is what I get for taking a sick day. I get cold oats.

Watching the Creators in Fashion Fashion Show and I am not getting it. They’re doing a run of dudes in GYM CLOTHES. Gym shorts and a tshirt. And people in the comments are going nuts for them. Oh wait, now there are cool outfits…. Three of them. Sigh.

Trying to find a new place for bras that is not Lane Bryant (pretty much the only place for plus-size bras) because they charged my card FOUR TIMES (3 of which are “holds”) for a single order I made 2 weeks ago to be shipped TO THE STORE. And then I found this weird Google result for a pizza place.

Wow! The CDC & Medicaid can eat my entire ass. Trying to get a covid booster (like I have 5 years running) & apparently poor-people insurance not only doesn’t cover the new shot, but also doesn’t cover it for anyone under 65?!? Unless you have an underlying condition. So… thanks, Obesity. I guess.

I am not a huge garlic fan, unless it’s subtle. But I’ve been feeling run down lately and I know garlic is good for warding off infection or whatever. So I made the mistake of ordering something with “garlic____” as a component. I was knocked back by the smell as it arrived at my table.

This gentle giant (the size of my finger) is in my kitchen window right now! Instead of burning down the house, I have now learned more than I ever thought I would about Horntail Sawflies. Harmless, and best in rotten wood (I guess our window sill needs replacing, or it just got lost).

Period is gone in time for me to have a dental appointment! And my bra wire broke earlier, so double the discomfort. Also I have to walk to the dentist in the rain with my janky “the weatherman was wrong” emergency office umbrella.

Nerd alert! Stopped here on the way home from my tech support job just in time to watch the show-runner struggle to get P+ to stream, with popups from MalwareBytes and Avast filling the screen, which he ignored as he did the same things over and over.
