after letting the join set up for a bit (anywhere from 10 minutes to an hour, depending on several factors) i carefully scrape the join in, work it down, blend it in, and smooth it. the strongest join we can make is one we cant find after #facejug #pottery #folkart #wildclay #sculpting

get questions here and there about how i achieve good clean joins, so figured i would just show ya. the high surface area and blended edge not only makes these joins look very clean, but makes them strong and resistant to cracking #pottery #facejug #folkart #catawbavalley #sculpture
