This was a great collaboration and great work by Ilse Krätschmer. We show there is greater potential for indirect genetic effects than previously thought and a small role of parent-of-origin effects in shaping quantitative trait variation.

Separating direct, indirect, and parent-of-origin genetic effects in the human population
Krätschmer et al. develop a novel statistical approach to distinguish between direct genetic effects (DGE), indirect genetic effects (IGE) (how parental DNA shapes the child’s environment), and parent...

We are looking forward to trying this out. The memory footprint of joint analyses, which require holding all genotypes data in RAM has always been a limiting factor for us.
