I've watched the first movie's English Dub (sensing a pattern here?) and loved it, and I've also watched Movie 3 ("A Whale of Two Worlds" as it's called in Japan) and loved it too.

I only watched 2014's brief English Dub on Disney XD, though I have seen clips of the later anime's English Sub, and I can say that it all looks great. It's just so good all-around. ...If I have to see that clip of Robonyan getting fucked in the ass one more time though, I swear to god I'm gonna-

It's been way too long since i played the games, so pass for now. I'll come back to this one again at another point, though.

Shogunyan's classic medal. The design is simple, but effective in showing how Legendary Yo-Kai differ from the norm. Plus I had that old Yo-Kai Watch toy with the plastic medals and it played the summoning music when you put in the medals, I enjoy the classic Legendary summon music.

That would have to go to Nate. There's just something about this kid that makes him the perfect player character and protagonist. Design isn't too complex but is still memorable, and his personality in the anime is great, too.

KOMASAN. No contest, Komasan is easily my absolute top favorite Yo-Kai of the entire franchise. A bumpkin finding his way around the big city with his brother by his side, amazed at everything. He's so great. Plus, HE'S ADORABLE. LOOK AT HIM. I WILL PROTECT THIS BOI OR DIE TRYING.

I have not interacted with the Y-School Heroes side of the franchise, so I'll pass on this one. I will rectify this in the future, though.

I'm gonna assume "Shadowside Yo-Kai" means both Shadowside forms and Yo-Kai introduced IN Shadowside. For the latter (introduced in Shadowside), I raise Junior. He is boi. As for the former (Shadowside FORMS), Tsuchinoko. Snek.

Definitely gotta pick USApyon on this one. Something about him just hits the notes of 'mmm, yes, I like this one' for me.

My favorite OG definitely has to go to Jibanyan. Yeah, it's a bit of a cheat to pick the mascot of the franchise, but honestly, ol' Jib is a good, reliable pick. Plus, I can relate to just wanting to do both jack and furthermore shit pretty much all the time.

Yo-Kai Watch 2, specifically Bony Spirits. Full stop. Not only is the game great, but that fucking OPENING. HAS BEEN STUCK IN MY HEAD. FOR YEARS.

My first exposure was the English Dub of the anime that aired on Disney XD. It was when they tried to make YKW a thing in America, and I was absolutely hooked. They REALLY need to give the franchise another shot in the states, I miss my funny mischief ghosts :(
