What a joy it was to paint these 3 ginkgo leaves for the lovely folks at NC State CHASS 🐺 I pressed these leaves from campus years ago during my time as a student there. They’ve been in the studio since, waiting for the perfect project to come along—and it sure did!

In the middle of winter’s dormancy, a new leaf collection is growing 🌱 With this series, I’ll be using my paintings to share some of winter’s little wonders with you. My hope is that we’ll all start noticing more, and maybe even find a bit of peace in that practice, too ❄️

Looking back on “Snow Visitor” from the Evergreen Collection ❄️ There’s no snow here yet this winter, just cold wind. But at least the cardinals are hopping around in the backyard!
