Here's something I did just now. I needed to make this corner sharper but didn't want to add another edge loop (would have meant more work), so what do I do? #ngon to the rescue, of course. It smooths *really* nicely too. Alt text for more info.

@oddenough.art This one has stumped me for years. The concave corners resolve fine with this 45-degree inset, though the convex corners always create a lot of pinching. Let's call this the default method. I'll go through my other attempts below. (1/4)
