My art is mostly fan art and copying references with a lifetime of practice. Very little of my decision-making has a message or intention beyond making something that looks cool, even if it only looks cool because someone took a cool photo. I don't get savaged. I'm treated well. Draw it. Post it.

I'm sad #Smutcember is over! I am really going to miss it and the conversations it sparked. It came at a good time; I was starting to think of toning down the sex scenes in my future books to make them more palatable, even though I know that's not right. That's inauthentic.

That's what I think of when people get bent out of shape classifying Freddy as a child "murderer" and NOT a child molester. It's one of Freddy's hard lines, I guess.

It wasn't this year, but John Cusack blocked me on Twitter back in the olden times because I did a tweet that only said "Joan > John Cusack" and I guess he didn't care for that. Twas only a jape. I mean, I'm right. Surely he must know that. Maybe that's why he blocked me. Couldn't handle truth.

I wish this weren't such an underappreciated movie, because Jacob's Ladder was formative in my understanding of what makes horror work. The emotional and empathic connection you need to make with the story and characters. It understood itself so well. I need to get it on 4k. Such a great movie.

Willow is at the vet. They're going to sedate her and examine her mouth and maybe do X-rays. We should have some kind of answer and plan today. She was surprisingly active at the vet, which was encouraging. Hopefully her pain meds are helping
