A #dragonage thing that just hit me. So throughout the Dragon Age games, we've been seeing that the Veil is weakening even before the events of Inquisition. In Veilguard we learn that the Veil is tied to the life force of the Evanuris and that the Archdemons are dragons tied to the Evanuis too. (1)

Another long post. Ignoring Varric (who every single one of my Inquisitors adores for various reasons), the specific companion and game varies by Inquisitor. I'll separate them by name so they don't get jumbled.

Gwen's a city girl. Most of her formative years were spent in Kirkwall, but after accidentally causing a blizzard and an earthquake with her magic, she moved to Minrathous to train in one of their Circles of Magi. She and Varric would bond over their shared dislike of having to rough it.

Meet Esha Aldwir, my blind Veil Jumper. He can see light and shadows and uses his magic and his other senses to make up for his lack of sight.

For Gwen, its that she's the daughter of Fenris and the Late Champion of Kirkwall (looks like her Mom with Dad's eyes). Apart from the Veilguard, Tarquin, and Viper, no one else knows. Also, the existence of her cousin, Carvell, son of Carver and Merrill before Carver died in the Deep Roads.

Annie Trevelyan would be teaching botany and chiropterology (study of bats)

This one will be Phoebe only because Amara's in game prison was actually spot on. Phoebe Cousland's would have been her teaching her nephew how to use a dagger in secret (she's a rogue). His death hits her hardest out of all of them because he was just a small defenseless child.

Gwen is honestly going to stay with Eldrin in Arlathan Forest helping with the griffins now that magic isn't going wild anymore. Gwen is grieving a lot after losing Davrin and Assan as well as Varric. I feel like her dad Fenris would join her for support and protection.

The only Warden who matters in this question is Amara Amell. Despite being furious with Jowan for using her, couldn't bear the thought of Jowan, who was her best friend and partner-in-crime at the tower, being made tranquil or executed. So she let him go and told everyone he escaped and later died.

Gwen wouldn't mind having kids one day, but she's not really in a hurry. Elyon wants to adopt kids like her Papa did her.

Amara Amell was gay as hell, but liked to flirt with Cullen just to pick on him. She was a Circle mage so no one really cared. Phoebe Cousland is straight, but picky because she wanted to marry for love or at least a guy who wasn't boring or a colossal prick to people.

If you're talking about the Tearstone Island mission, Gwen chooses Bellara while Elyon chooses Neve. If you're talking about the door part of the battle strategy to get into Minrathous at the end, whoever didn't get chosen on Tearstone Island, is the one chosen to dismantle wards in Minrathous.

#Dragonage This part made me giggle. Elyon: Hey Papa, any chance you can help folks listen to me? Ramulus: You're asking the wrong guy, kiddo. They don't like me either.

I have a new #DragonageVeilguard nitpick but I wish the female frame was taller. I like Elyon's height better with the male frame but I like the female frame better.

My Rooks has grown by one. Elyon Laidir, (El or Ely to those closest to them) the oldest adopted child of Inquisitor Ramulus Adaar from before he was Inquisitor (he's of course the Inquisitor on her world state). They were 10 when Ramulus became Inquisitor). They're actually Andrastian.

Annie was something of a scholar in the Ostwick Circle before it fell. She's fluent in 5 languages, is a master gardener who created a potting soil and plant food that keeps potted plants healthy while preventing their roots from growing too large, discovered keeping bats in the Circle kept (1)

Honestly, apart from Viper and Tarquin, Harding was Gwen's closest friend, simply because they've known each other the longest. Harding was always nice to Gwen when she was little during the Inquisition days and has been kindof like a big sister to her, especially after Gwen's mom dies in the Fade

Every one of my Inquisitors wanted Leliana to become Divine. However, on Keith Trevelyan's world state, Cassandra became Divine, which sucked but they stayed together, even if Keith couldn't marry her.

Annie likes animals and likes to give her animal companions dignified sounding names. Example, her first bats at the Ostwick Circle were Winston, Claudette, and Nigella (was Nigel until Claudette was born), her horse is Archibald, and she names Cullen's mabari Reginald (Cullen calls him Reggie)

Despite being a mage, Gwen could not possibly give less of a fuck about magic and spirits at first. She does grow an appreciation for magic and spirit customs outside Tevinter and Southern Thedas, particularly Rivaini and Nevaran.

Physically, Gwen Hawke Mercar would be fine in a blizzard, being an ice mage. However, Gwen HATES snow and c. So she'd survive and what not, but she'd be bitching and complaining about the snow and wind the whole time
