The first time I photographed a birth was the day my nephew was born. I was sure that's what I wanted to do with my life. Shortly after I had my son, I got to do it again. But having a little one made racing off to document babies being born a little impractical. I eventually gave up on the idea.

We had a really good conversation about the distinction between n*dity and s*xual content. It feels more and more like an important one, but it's difficult to define. @astridkallsen.bsky.social

I saw Robert Eggers' Nosferatu last night. It was dark and mystic, eery, beautiful. Uncomfortable. His movies are ominous fairytales. Like how beautiful and ethereal mermaids are, until they drag you into the water and drown you. @astridkallsen.bsky.social
