It is a disgrace. This is happening in the promised Wombat-Lerderderg National Park. It is impossible that this amount of timber removal of fallen trees is for reduction of fire risk – perhaps we should completely clear the forest to eliminate any risk of a bushfire.

What an absolute backdown on a prior commitment. What a disgrace that so many endangered plants, animals and fungi are not yet given the protections they deserve. We entreat the government to legislate the parks early next year as they have just promised.
