The Leftbehind - Extended director's cut. I've been expanding some past images to use as playmats and it's a joy revisiting these compositions with a wider ratio.

Above the Garden This interior from Darkness at Sethanon brought me full circle. I attempted to paint this scene as a project when I was in school years and years ago. Imagine my surprise being tasked with illustrating it again all these years later! Hopefully I've learned something since then!

Continuing the journey through the Riftwar series by Raymond E. Feist, we now move into the next edition from The Broken Binding—Silverthorn! Here we see Father Tully destroying a possessed and seemingly invincible dark elf.

The Longing At the end of a shattered and overgrown road The Longing remains. Though her world crumbles, she still stands- not in defiance, nor in grief— but yearning. Some say she still remembers a promise the moon made, long ago.

Lastly, for the new Magician release from The Broken Binding, here’s an interior illustration of Pug—now known as Milamber—descending from a high tower to another platform after his magical training.

Adventurer's Inn Created for the Magic: The Gathering- Final Fantasy Set. An adventurer’s inn in the style of Final Fantasy III—or really, any inn from the storied history of Final Fantasy.

Fetid Heath Created for the Magic: The Gathering- Final Fantasy Set. An undead and ghostly forest landscape from one of my favorite titles in the series- Final Fantasy Vi. A few of our heroes stumble into the seemingly endless Phantom Forest before facing the Phantom Train, itself.

Sunpearl Kirin Another for Magic: The Gathering's release of Tarkir: Dragonstorm. A kirin with white and gold scale patterning- a symbol of luck prancing through dark skies. Here, it serves as a beacon to the Storm Crane Monastery, following behind.

The Queen of the World Another in my series of statues. The Queen stands above the overgrowth, the creeping vines and thorns. She steps fearless toward another open horizon, bathed in countless twilights. Some say she dances under the stars. Her scars are beginning to show.

The Golden Hour Whether it's the light shooting through your blinds in the golden afternoon to warm your room, or streaming through the trees to wake the forest floor, the golden hour in the evening sun is the most magnificent time of day to experience.

Tommy Arnold is easily one of my biggest current inspirations.

"Reclamation / Ruination" A barbarous conqueror, an elven court, a martyr leading saboteurs—woven together in a spiral composition. My tribute to history and classic fantasy. This piece marked a turning point for me, showing what was possible in digital painting as I transitioned from traditional.

"Conspiracy" Another of my MTG / AC work. This one took several turns during production and ended up tonally darker than I first imagined to help it match the set. Thus, the smaller details are my favorite part of the painting.

"Misthios's Fury" Another gem from my Magic / Assassin's Creed work. Although the card's focus was meant to be on the wielded flames, I chose to focus in on the blazing fury her gaze.

I've always enjoyed Josh's approach to painting. Like me, he handles digital painting with a traditional methodology, much like you would an oil painting. I suspect we both come from a traditional background. I've learned a lot from him.

Alright! Let's get started. "The Aesir Escape Valhalla" A personal favorite of my recent Magic / Assassin's Creed work- a wood carving in front of a great machine depicting the world tree, Odin, Eivor, and dragons that make up the branches.
