A black cat blessed my porch yesterday. 🖤 It rained over my place finally, and my allergies with be relieved for a little while. Thank you kitty. She was obviously someone’s pet. I hope to see her again, but I get sad because I can’t have a cat of my own (husband has a legit phobia).

My first grade teacher would send my drawings and coloring pages back and say “Spend more time on this. You can do better.” I didn’t know why. I thought they were ok. So many little things making sense now after learning about my Autism and non/verbal learning difficulties. I tested very poorly

Finally, I like making art again. Only took retirement from freelancing and a year off from social media. :/ But I like it enough that it’s helping me find purpose again, and I look forward to starting every drawing.

Working on a #drawing that I hope to actually finish. I’ll post updates in this thread. First layer is always fun. It’s like a puzzle and in the beginning the big pieces stand out, but as the drawing progresses, it’s easy to lose the focal point, thus second layer is harder
