Well, the black walnut tree that was threatening falling on the house has been felled. Tomorrow, the cherry tree that’s dead and leaning will be next. I hate seeing them go. 😢 🍃🍂🍁

Just spent an enjoyable morning watching all the activity out of my window. A flock of crows digging through the forest leaves, squirrels chasing each other and eating black walnuts. Titmice, nuthatches, chickadees, woodpeckers all zipping around. Good food for the soul. 🪶

I put out a very large suet ball in the tray last night and a possum ran off with it at 7am this morning LOL! 🦊 #trailcam

When I ordered Jane’s wings, it came with 2 little hats, so I made a dress to match. No pattern, just made it up as I crocheted 🧶 along.

Skunk was not interested in the hard boiled egg. 🦨

SOUND UP! Just now! Dogs? Coyotes? They moved away, the sounds fading as they went. East TN.

My husband spent part of our dinner out explaining to the waiter that Texas Chainsaw Massacre is not appropriate to be playing on their large screen TVs.

We gave $100 to a waiter at our favorite Mexican restaurant a couple of days before Christmas. Today, we went back for lunch and he told us that the money allowed him to buy coats for himself, his wife, and kids, and had some left to get toys for the kids' Christmas. 🥲🥰

Despite the rain last night, look what appeared on my trail cam!! A possum and a skunk! I need to play with the settings, because I think my husband has it on the lowest possible settings as a test.

Eeeeeee! Got a trail cam for Christmas and my husband installed it today! We will check it tomorrow to make sure it actually works. I’m excited! It’s a really basic one, so we’ll see. 😬🤪😁

Jane the Porch Goose’s very first outfit has been completed! I finished crocheting 🧶 it yesterday and now she’s out on the porch for the first time. 21 school buses pass by the house twice a day, so I hope she brings joy to all those kids.
