As someone who started playing Magic around the release of the original Lorwyn, I am super hyped to finally revisit the plane!

I bet @trekcore.com is getting tagged in this a lot, but that's only right. :D I remember joking with folks at my LGS, when Edge of Eternities released, about what Universes Beyond set would be the first to use Spacecraft, and Star Trek came up. Seems that might actually happen!

First, I'm so excited for more Incarnations! Second, this card is sweet! Third, that design is amazing! Full cast lets you get both, but if you evoke it, you have to choose which enters ability you're getting. Just brilliant! I hope to see that as part of a cycle (which is what I'm expecting).

I wish there'd been more eccentric men in my life when I was growing up. One of my struggles has been accepting that being a man doesn't mean being my dad. Or, you know, otherwise a "normal" man, whatever it is I mean by that. (I often feel like I'm still a kid in many ways—it's complicated.)

Every time I hear loud tools being used outside (like leaf blowers, lawnmowers, etc.), I can't help but think about how people claim suburbs are quiet. I mean, they probably are in a relative kind of way, but it's pretty common to hear those sorts of landscaping tools, and they ain't quiet!

So there's this problem you can run into when you make a game, which is where, due to your own testing process to make sure things are working, you get really good at that game. This can easily result in balancing the game around your skill, thus resulting in the game being way too hard.

Uuugh, nothing like waking up at the magical hour of "just enough sleep to not be able to fall back asleep without having actually gotten enough sleep." >_<

Silksong is overall pretty great so far (I've been playing it slowly), but why do so many things (especially bosses) deal double damage and why have I found so few masks????

It's interesting...There's a certain kind of wish-fulfillment story that I don't think can ever be more than midtier as a story, at least to me, because it fundamentally lacks the kind of compelling stakes that make things meaningful. Now that I say this, I suppose it's similar to game difficulty.

Finished watching the Nintendo Direct. Things that stood out most to me are: Age of Imprisonment, Metroid Prime 4, and that Ditto game. I'm interested in Pokémon Legends Z-A, though I agree that announcing paid DLC before the game even comes out is a bit of a move. Not a surprising one, though.

So...wait...is Nintendo basically making Pokémon Minecraft?! That's basically just printing money, right?!

The great thing about writing your own program is that it means you can identify tedious tasks and find ways to automate them. In related news, now I can specify how many iterations of an operation I want to have happen, then click one button, rather than having to do each iteration myself.

Just saw an ad for what I think was a perfume, and for whatever reason, the footage was mirrored, which made it much harder to read the labels on the product, especially since the guy advertising it kept moving it around. Like, why would you run an ad like that? Why wouldn't you unmirror it?!
