NHS pay: 3.3% isn’t enough 📉 Welsh Government has accepted a 3.3% pay award for NHS staff from 1 April 2026. Ministers say this is above CPI inflation at 3%. But CPI does not include housing costs, rail fares or mobile contracts. When those essentials are included, inflation is 3.8%.
