🚨 No Cop City in Pittsburgh 🚨 Last week, City Council advanced plans for an $86M public safety training center, despite community opposition and no public forums. While amendments claim to limit federal/military training and urban warfare drills, the core issue remains. $86M is wasteful spending.

The City of Pittsburgh has proposed spending $2 million on a new public safety training facility. It would be situated on a 168-acre site that formerly housed the Veterans Affairs Pittsburgh Health Care System in the city’s Lincoln-Lemington neighborhood, which is predominantly Black.

From the Nat Turner rebellion to the Black Panthers, our people have a long history of resistance. Freedom fighters like Mumia Abu-Jamal have been incarcerated for over 25 years.
