The idea behind this is very close to Bioshock based on its visuals alone. It's good to know that after 31 years it's getting revived, it's just a little concerning that it's under Skydance Animation given who else is involved with that studio.

In a world where we're forced to tolerate another adaptation of Harry Potter or LOTR, it's actually quite damaging how other fantasy is not given a chance to be given the adaptation treatment. If you had the right people on board something like Redwall could work, but it's just not that easy...

It's not right that this had to be cancelled because Netflix has no idea what they've thrown out with the bathwater. Hopefully someone can save this and it has a better chance of getting adapted by someone else. Because Redwall deserves another adaptation.

A movie couple who would definitely have a podcast

Damn... Soderbergh's a pretty good film maker and to see him bend over and submit to whatever AI sewage gets aggressively funneled into him is really quite disheartening. But it also shows how people are willing to buckle easily for a trend & not get "left behind".

Tina Flint spends most of her time moving around as she's always off exploring ruined wastelands or scavenging robot parts to help make her gadgets.

I really hope there's more of this, it shows significant promise and you can feel a lot of the hard work gone into the animation production. It's always worth supporting indie animation for the effort they go to to create these kinds of stories.

Part of the reason that I've always loved to stop motion, whether it was made 20 years ago or done quite recently is that depending on who's involved in the production of it there is a degree of craft to it & in a classic like the original King Kong. The craft improves with age.

So this is very good. - The animation is gorgeous. - The backgrounds are sublime. - The character designs are quite charming. This is definitely something with a lot of heart put in.

Movements to shut down or ban data centers are amassing power and notching victories. Wikipedia has banned AI-generated content in articles. Publishers and entertainment studios are being pushed to reject AI-produced content outright. In other words: It's open season for refusing AI.

So... It's very hard to talk about a piece of media like Takopi's Original Sin given the horrible subject matter such as bullying, parental negligence & child abuse & given how long it took for me to finish it this was an emotionally draining but very powerful experience.

When you learn about films like The Thief & the Cobbler & what place they eventually end up having in animation culture as a whole, it's a cautionary tale of how hubris regardless of whatever your intentions are can go out of control & its heartbreaking to learn about how it all fell apart.

There hasn't been an anime dubbed in the UK for well over 26 Years... The beautiful thing about Love is a Prism so far really comes from the fact that due to the setting, it's English dub is so spot on it's done in house & everything about the cast & voice acting feels so authentic.

I never would have imagined that this show is 30 years old, because I remember first coming across it in my teens & in its very neutered censored & edited version & yet it's still an exceptional series. Plus, the Ocean Group dub will always be the definitive English audio for this series.

Hajime Sorayama draws hot robots & pretty decent animals, his animal work is pretty underrated.

It's no secret that Project Hail Mary is such a damn good film & @bigricepiano.bsky.social & everything he makes is always a solid 10 out of 10, this just hits all the right notes and it's a beautiful piece of music altogether.

I don't hate it, but I don't love it either. It felt good to go back to this world & these characters again, but it felt like something was missing. So I'm mixed about this because it just feels like a half & half of good & bad.
