A bit more than 11 years ago, my fellow recruits and I placed a coin behind the emblem on our beret, for the last beer on our last day of service. Today I'm having said beer. It's been a mixed bag of experiences, but I'm glad I've made them. Cheers 🇨🇭

449 days served. One to go.

Second to last day of army service. Not much to do. Taking in some of the scenery.

So this year I stopped running after everything and am letting my comerades do their thing. I'm still trying to give some hints on what could be done. Yet noone seems to care, causing everything to fall apart and everyone to be even less motivated. What a shame.

Lieutenant: "The air conditioning unit is leaking!" Me: *takes a look* "That's just condensation water." Lieutenant: "I see. Do we need to refill that?" ... "Absolutely. You should tell logistics to ship some to our location."

Lieutenant Colonel approached a buddy and me and made some remark about our uniform not being up to code for this exercise. "Sir, we'll both be gone in five days. We believe our uniform will work just fine until then." He left xD

It's wet. They're making us do combat drills. The lieutenant was not impressed by my combat umbrella. I bet he's just jealous.

Off to military service for one last week...

My most frequent answer whenever someone asked me something during this service has been "Go ask XYZ". 😂 8 more days!

It appears they did some work on the water mains. There's so much dirt coming out of all faucets. For some reason the shower is the worst. There's still dirt particles, even though I must have flushed a bathtub worth of water Dx

Today was a busy but productive day! Visited a client, made progress working on [redacted] flight simulator, and had BBQ and swim with coworkers!

It seems that I have almost 3 weeks of extra holidays due to overtime...

Server seemed to keep losing BIOS configuration, so I replaced the BIOS battery and reconfigured everything. For some reason it still kept losing the configuration. There was a sticker on the back of the new battery that I had not seen 😭

How did I just sleep for almost 10 hours? Haven't done that in a while.

My living room still looks like I moved in last week, even though I've been in this place for over a year now...

Went gokarting yesterday. My back looks like someone hit me with a baseball bat 😅

Our company has a needlessly complicated system of multiple tools where we gotta report how many hours we work. Except that at the end of the year, we can't actually report the true hours, but are encouraged to make it look like it was planned correctly.

Almost took a train in the wrong direction when going to work. I haven't slept well in a while Dx

I really need to learn to give my coworker more clear instructions and requirements of the deliverable when giving them a task. Too often they seem to miss stuff which seems obvious to me, so I'm not even mentioning it initially...

When logging into my user accounts on PCs that aren't mine, I use a private browser window. Unfortunately I seem to have developed muscle memory that starts typing "furaffinity" after opening a private browser window. Almost had an awkward situation at a client's place 😅
