Re-read the book and now listening to it so there’s a bunch of smaller scenes (no pun intended) that never made it to the screen. In the book food was a struggle to come by a literal uphill journey. Water was plentiful until he got too small to access his reserves.

One of the things I didn’t understand right away when I read the book was when his brother was tinkering with the heater, he was so close and yet didn’t attempt to get his attention but was gobsmacked by the sheer size differences. I may be recalling it wrong #shrinkingman #L'homme qui rétrécit
