Yesterday was Oleksii's big day. It was his baptism in a Ukrainian Orthodox Church here in Lviv. In the US this is usually a short event, especially in protestant churches. This baptism ceremony took 48 minutes and 37 seconds and I took no part in it, his godparents did.

In fact speaking of the farm house I rented, here it is. It was built in 1815 in Culpeper County, Virginia. It sat on 154 acres of land and had 19 Norwegian fjords and a quarter horse there. It was a sweet deal, $1250 per month knocked down to $850 / month if I fed the horses twice per day.

In a past life I was heavily involved with horses. This is one of the 19 Norwegian Fjords that resided on the farm where I rented the farmhouse.

It's slowly creeping towards winter here in Ukraine. Woke up this morning to temperatures of -2C (24F). I grew up in the sweltering hotbox that is Virginia. You would think that I would hate the cold but as I've grown older I actually prefer the cool weather.

I've decided to move to BlueSky to get away from the hate machine that Twitter has become under Musk. If Trump wins it will just become worse. Here I will focus more on everyday life in Ukraine, writing, my love of games, and travel.
