For Human Rights Day 2025, the theme is "Our Everyday Essentials." For women in MENA living with HIV, rights are the engine that allows us to live free from violence, work without discrimination, access care without shame, and claim autonomy. From shadows to light.

Intersectionality is the dangerous reality where violence collides with HIV stigma in MENA. We can't treat these in isolation. HIV care shouldn't overlook violence; prevention can't ignore stigma. Real protection requires seeing the whole woman, not just the diagnosis. #WLHIV

Under @gnpplus.bsky.social Last Mile grant, MENA Rosa conducted community-led research in Egypt & Morocco on barriers women living with HIV face in accessing vertical transmission prevention. In Sept 2025, phase two launched with roundtables engaging stakeholders to advocate for elimination.
