Took the long weekend off and am currently too tired to think of something to practice drawing so may not be til tomorrow that I have an update, but I will have an update

Day 16-17: faces are still hard, still working on them slowly but surely, still unsure how the other artists have magic lines and I have wonky, kindergarten lines but hey, that’s improvement from scribbly toddler lines

I’ve reached the stage in my drawing journey that, despite my improvement, I’m mad at myself for not being better. The tutorial people make it look so easy! Why are their lines so different from my lines? Sorcery!

Day 15: forgot my sketchbook and work is busy so just a little doodle for the moment. Not good, but it’s the first one I’ve drawn from scratch without any sort of guidance or copying and for it being that, I think it came out ok. Hair is still a mess though. I’ll get to that eventually

Not that these are good, but day 2 compared to day 12 is already a noticeable difference

Day 11 and 12: more drawabox exercises and working on loomis method

Day 10: my phone said my camera lens needed to be cleaned while taking a picture of this page even though it was totally clear so that’s how good technology thinks my doodles are. Also faces are still hard and that car looks like a toddler drew it, but hey, I’m still trying

Day 8 - 9: more boxes and other rudimentary shapes. Mostly trying to get 15-30 minutes in per day

Day 7: Duck and a weird leaf boat thing

Day 6: some attempts at natural scenery, the return of the hat that sits on my work desk, a cup, and an awful attempt at a fan which just kinda turned into something my brain doesn’t like looking at

Day 5: didn’t do much, a few more boxes, rough work day

Day 4: not much to report. Busy day kept me from getting much practice in but still managed to work on some boxes so imagine terrible, squiggly boxes and you’ve pretty much got the picture

Also if anyone has good suggestions for tutorials on digital art for extreme beginners, I’m all ears. There’s tons of people on the internet saying tons of tons but something that has actually worked for someone would be nice #beginner #drawingtutorials #help
