Cecile's Garlean background makes people assume that she's quite condencending to 'savages'. She rarely calls non-Garlean, even enemies, as savages. For her, its get in her way of her duties, and she doesn't like seeing people that she meant to help as someone 'below' her.

Cecile's view of the ocean tend to be overtaken by memory of her old home, Abdella, muddled by brown excess of industrial waste and occational bad smell, and big containers. Seeing blue, clear ocean from other places is very refreshing. Costa del Sol and Tulliyolal feels like another star for her.

Young Cecile is a hardy lass even before a lord pluck her off the rough Abdella's street. The rigorious psychoconditioning and physical training of her Order only reinforce it further. She was seen as wall of a woman within her armor, which mask the soft, jolly person she truly is.
