Planning some small scale Napoleonic skirmishes at the club. Peninsular campaign first - but will inevitably spiral into something silly like the Tyrolean rebellion...

The third part of the big AWI commission is done, and will shortly be sent off to join their friends in Arizona. Really enjoyed painting these, but finishing them means I'm now open to any other painting projects you'd like. Any period, scale - get in touch here!

Enjoying my new photography board - just a little 1x1ft textured and detailed board, but I feel it really adds to photos like these!

Things did not go well for Cadwallon. Northumbria was not taken, but he and his sons live to fight another day. Unfortunately, not many other Welshmen could say the same...

The forces for tonight's club game of Midgard. The small but elite Northumbrians under Edwin, vs Cadwallon's Welsh and their pagan Mercian allies. Who will triumph at Hatfield Chase? Will the Welsh reclaim the East? Will my club-mates be convinced to play Midgard again? Only the dice know!

I think the stupid reason I'm enjoying these 'Epic' ancients more than I have any of the other epic ranges is the basing. On a big base, you can do a lot more with the strips than you can with 'traditional' 15s. Anyway, some Spanish mercenaries.

Warlord Epic Punic Wars so far - a couple of Roman Legions done, as well as some Carthaginian spears and some Mediterranean terrain. I'll move onto some allies for a change next.

More terrain for the Ancient Mediterranean. With the big bases and the abstraction inherent to 'To The Strongest!', the actual scale of the buildings isn't as important. Good thing, because these are miles too small - not that I think you'd notice!

First piece of 'Epic Scale' scenery for the Punic Wars - sort of Roman, but generically 'Ancient Mediterranean' enough to do anywhere.

Kingdom Come Deliverance II is the most frustrating game I've ever played. There's so much about it I love, but it is so ungenerous. I understand you are a real, unimportant person in the world, but every other character hates you.

First Punic Wars Roman legion done - Warlord Epic miniatures. There's a lot of my brain that fights to paint everything on these models, but most of it is completely invisible once it's on the base!

Got gifted some spares from the Warlord Epic Punic Wars range. So, I spent a very pleasant afternoon painting these Carthaginian spearmen. These are probably the most I've enjoyed painting any of the Epic ranges.

Still enjoying this Horus Heresy painting run I've been on. Happy with this scheme for Solar Auxilia. I wanted them to be a bit grim looking, without being too obviously evil looking (I want them to be able to fight on either side!)

I suspect that fact that the vast majority of LLM users don’t seem to have received this (really very simple!) message is because the AI companies have a vested interest in us not understanding it. “ChatGPT is smart, it just makes mistakes sometimes” is much more marketable than the truth.
