I think the stupid reason I'm enjoying these 'Epic' ancients more than I have any of the other epic ranges is the basing. On a big base, you can do a lot more with the strips than you can with 'traditional' 15s. Anyway, some Spanish mercenaries.

Warlord Epic Punic Wars so far - a couple of Roman Legions done, as well as some Carthaginian spears and some Mediterranean terrain. I'll move onto some allies for a change next.

More terrain for the Ancient Mediterranean. With the big bases and the abstraction inherent to 'To The Strongest!', the actual scale of the buildings isn't as important. Good thing, because these are miles too small - not that I think you'd notice!

Kingdom Come Deliverance II is the most frustrating game I've ever played. There's so much about it I love, but it is so ungenerous. I understand you are a real, unimportant person in the world, but every other character hates you.

Got gifted some spares from the Warlord Epic Punic Wars range. So, I spent a very pleasant afternoon painting these Carthaginian spearmen. These are probably the most I've enjoyed painting any of the Epic ranges.

Still enjoying this Horus Heresy painting run I've been on. Happy with this scheme for Solar Auxilia. I wanted them to be a bit grim looking, without being too obviously evil looking (I want them to be able to fight on either side!)

A bit of fun / practice using a 3D printed Son of Horus - took an hour or so, including oil (touch) drying.

Iron Sultanate for #trenchcrusade - really attempted to lean into the old 'grimdark' style. As far as I can tell, this means dark and oily - enjoyed it, but I do wonder how they'd look in a really bright and colourful style!
