Recently, Twitter user doseiyota shared photos they took at the MOTHER 1+2 release event. In one of them, you can see the second iteration of Paula along with the replacement Mr. Saturn, both of these models are extremely rare. But there is also a Ness model that has never been documented before.

It was just announced that there will be an event dedicated to the original models made for MOTHER 1 and 2 from July 25 - September 8, with all 180 of them being on display. Lots of merchandise featuring the models will also be released. www.1101.com/mother_proje...

It is MOTHER 3's 19th anniversary in Japan!

The 1996 music software SimTunes features Benimaru Itoh as one of its artists. The gallery notes of the software lists the various artists along with a short description. Benimaru Itoh's description references him currently being involved in an N64 RPG, most likely EarthBound 64.

Another example of Picross 3D reusing EarthBound 64 concept art can be seen with this map background that has the concept art of the tree cafe placed as a landmark. It is also worth noting that the map has other landmarks that may also be recycled (and undocumented) concept art.

Picross 3D reuses concept art from EarthBound 64 as backgrounds of some of its levels. This jungle background is reused concept art of the Shimedori Forest. The version used in Picross 3D has much more of the full image and is also in color, however with the animals edited out.
