The Sabres lose 6-3. That's five straight losses for the Sabres. Buffalo is now 5-8-4 on the season and will finish this road trip in Detroit on Saturday.

The Avalanche get the empty netter, and the Sabres are now down 6-3.

After a solid push from the Sabres in the third period, the Avalanche end up converting on a chance to push the lead to 5-3. MacKinnon found Necas in the slot and he got his second goal of the game.

And Gavin Brindley beats Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen with a clean shot off the rush. And Sabres are trailing again. Avalanche up 4-3.
