Students in Bangladesh have been busy this week, sitting their exams. Programme Manager Sudeb Rudra told us that the children are focused and have been working hard. He said "The students’ keen eyes and focused attention inspire us greatly". Good luck to all our students taking their exams! 💫

Today marks eight years since the Rohingya genocide. In August 2017, millions of Rohingya people were forced to flee from their homes in Myanmar to escape persecution by the military. Many crossed the border into Bangladesh, settling in Kutupalong - which remains the world’s largest refugee camp.

In the Congolese refugee communities we support in Uganda, parent-powered learning is going from strength to strength. Parents are stepping up their involvement in early education, forming savings groups to fund pre-schools & finding new inspiration in learning through play with their children.

Alice, a refugee from DRC, lives in Uganda with her 7 children. She joined our parents' training, learning to help her daughter Blessing. Now, with local savings groups & 'Cluster Learning' pre-schools, she's saving to educate her children and improve her home.

On Tuesday morning our UK team swapped screens for scenery, enjoying a walk in the Sussex countryside. It was a free and simple way to spark creative conversations, share a few laughs, and even enjoy an ice cream to stay cool on the hottest day of the year so far.

Last night we were honoured to attend the online end-of-year assembly for Afghanistan Education Action (AEA)'s International School! 16 young women from Afghanistan and Iran were presented with their certificates in front of friends and teachers.
