This is my big 20 yr old female RES warming up near the fridge while her tank was cleaned. The 2 white spots on her shell are from her taking a header this past summer while gravid. Vet said she superficially cracked her shell & no internal bleeding.🙏 Her shell is healing & tank covered better. ❤️🐢

I went to a local agency networked with our regional food bank today. In the lobby there were 10 people when I dropped off my donations & nearby grocery store cards. When I’ve donated before, usually 1 person is in the lobby. Just the 1st weekday after loss of SNAP.It’s going to be nuts soon. ☹️🙏

Stores instead can donate food to food banks and charity soup kitchens in their communities. That is the other way to help without having different prices for food based on if a customer is a recipient of SNAP. They can also advertise local charities in their stores as a form of public awareness.🤔

Went to a local grocery store yesterday and found they were liquidating their store brand frozen vegetables. I got 2 lbs of frozen peas for 69 cents &1 lb of frozen broccoli for 55 cents. Anyone know why they are doing so? I checked country of origin on the bags & it said Mexico so assuming tariffs?
