So I've had my iPad and have been working on my art for nearly a year now. When do I get better?

I have over 3k written for the next chapter of L'aurore and I'm considering canning it and starting over? Or at least moving this chapter back. Or maybe not having it at all? I mean how much backstory is TOO MUCH backstory, ya know?

Two customers I spoke to today called me kind and patient. People really need to figure out that customer service people respond well to kindness. Don't be rude, it goes a long way, BOTH ways.

I got Kirby a toy that makes a weird chirping sound and shakes around when it is hit against the floor or whatever. She has figured this out and frequently runs up to me and whacks me in the knee with this toy. She loves it though so... 🤷🏼‍♀️

I found a loophole! I still have to go into the office twice a week but they're spread out so I have recovery time before having to be there again.

My lease for this apartment is up in July 2026. I've been seriously considering moving to another state. If I want to keep my job (and I do) then my options are limited to Tulsa, OK or Plano, TX. Apts are so much cheaper in OK than they are here!!

Just got my eyebrows waxed for the first time ever. Like most pain associated with my head (ear piercings, nose piercing) it didn't hurt as much as I expected.

I saw someone refer to their Goldendoodle as a furry crocodile. This is accurate and mine isn't even 4 months old yet.

Lesson learned. I recruited a bunch of cheer/beta readers yesterday and there are so many comments. General consensus seems good? But I'm also bad at words. Like, in the official sense.

I got Kirby and the cats a new water fountain bc they needed a bigger one and a wireless one (thanks Kirby). Bc it runs on battery, it only works in motion sensor mode. Niko is extremely confused (he likes to drink from the running water instead of the bowl) so hopefully he figures it out.

My mother is an idiot.

Kirby had her first vet visit today! She was SO well behaved. And she's healthy!
