How can American citizens be comfortable right now? The financial markets are sanguine while under the surface there are tremors. Naturalized citizens are being deported without due process. We cuddle with Israel and Russia while they embrace chaos and instability.

It’s become obvious Putin is doing his best to shame Trump and based on recent photos of the commander-in-chief it’s working. We’re now entering a new phase where things around the world are going amok and the president seems ill equipped to deal with it.

Maybe living in a republic isn’t all it was cracked up to be. Congress was elected to lead but is leading us into bankruptcy. They won’t fix social security. They don’t govern FOR THE PEOPLE. This is disgusting. They stock trade with huge profits. We MUST fire each and every one.

I dislike Trump’s personality but don’t consider myself a hater. I don’t think he has the emotional intelligence to lead this country. I worry more about who is pulling the strings behind the curtain.

Chaos is when Harvard gets punished for diversity initiatives and campus protests while the rioters on January 6th are pardoned. I feel like I’m living in an alternate universe, one not tethered to reality.

I’m about to retire and am fairly astute when it comes to investing. This is the first time in 40 years of investing where I’m struggling to diversify to the right asset classes. I bought 100 Krugerrand’s a while back for a ‘just in case’ scenario and it’s turned out to be the perfect elixir.

I have no problem with an audit of government but not in this way. May I suggest a peaceful protest? How about people cut back on spending to the bare minimum so the economy tanks? It would be a good way to gain some control without violence.

Since Musk made the vast majority of his wealth off government handouts (EV credits) he’s probably the best guy to audit government spending.

I wonder if DOGE will investigate government spending in Trump hotels during his first term…

I’m starting to get the impression Trump is the carnival barker and Musk is the freak show. Leave your 4 year old at home next time and bring evidence instead of rhetoric.

I have no problem with auditing government spending but would prefer DOGE didn’t spew accusations without providing evidence to back it up. If DOGE insists on doing that they risk losing all credibility. These are the things third world countries do and it never ends well.
