Check out the newest trees at the Mackenzie King Estate! 🌳 The local blue jays were happy to inspect the freshly planted trees as well. These trees replaced those that had to be cut down and some will eventually take the place of older trees.

It’s been a big season for trail maintenance! 🔨 Earlier this summer, incredible volunteers contended with bad weather to replace the “Pont des Lutins” on Trail 68. Thank you to Ottawa Hiking and the Ottawa Mountain Biking Association for their literal and figurative heavy lifting. 💪

Invasive Species Removal | Periwinkle Yesterday, volunteers removed 25 large bags of periwinkle near Trail 60/1. 🎉 Despite the soggy weather, they were all smiles digging up an invasive alien plant species in Gatineau Park. This important work helps restore ecosystems.
