Growing up my grandparents took me to church with them. I loved looking at the imagery and symbolism and intricate decorations. These are my version of a holy water font. They hang on the wall. They could serve so many purposes but art in general is a reminder of a place, a memory or a person.

Large salad bowl, WIP. The bowl hasn’t been fired yet. The grey (is it gray or grey??) clay will fire white. I might add some eggs so they will be dancing around then.

This was supposed to a three dimensional squirrel head planter. The clay got too dry so I just painted a face. ✔️

Valentino. I rarely make the male form. I enjoy the roundness of females and who do we know best? Ourselves. I try to say yes to new things especially things that don’t feel good or easy. I haven’t quite settle on my subject matter for this year. What are you working on?

In 2025 I’m planning on moving to more glaze finishes. I’ve used underglaze in the past. I’m really enjoying the drippy unexpected colors and textures.
