As of today, I've been at my current job for exactly half my life. I'm not sure how I feel about that.

My new Second Weirdest Tech Glitch ever: you cannot bootstrap a MariaDB Galera Cluster from scratch if your test VM has only one CPU core. The error message "failed to set FD_CLOEXEC: 9 (Bad file descriptor)" gives 0 hints in that direction. Bump VM up to 2 cores and it works. This is why I drink.
