In a tunnel kiln the front pots nearest the fire get the best colours on their surface. At the back, I'm going to use the River Gravel glaze. It does different things depending on the clay used, how thick it is and how much oxygen is in the kiln. Watch this space for the results... #pottery

I took a deep breath, mustered my 'Independant Woman' spirit & changed the pedal cable & drive belt on my Shimpo. It has the habit of not stopping completely when you take your foot off the gas. I managed it! And .... new parts have made absolutely no difference to its bad habits!
