178 - Primitivism

Spent too much time yesterday playing Sin and Punishment on N64 NSO. First experience with a rail shooter game, and I can definitely already see the appeal in the genre, especially with this title. The game is challenging for sure, but in a way that makes it really addictive and replayable.

Will add that I really like the character designs of all the Team Star Bosses. So glad that they didn’t give them all a uniform dress code like other Pokémon teams. Their unique and somewhat over the top outfits really convey the idea that they’re truly just a group of rebellious misfits.

Finished the Team Star storyline in my Scarlet playthrough. Ended up enjoying all the characters involved, but wasn’t like blown away by any of it. After both Team Yell and Team Star though, I’m really hoping the next gen Pokémon titles feature a true villainous team again.

Replayed Donkey Kong Country 1 over the course of the past few days. I first played through the game in 2020, but feel like I managed to clear it way quicker this time around, and with way fewer save stating. Still not great at these older 2D platformers, but feel like I'm slowly getting better.
