About what I expected for the Muppet’s refresh of Rock n Roller Coaster! Can’t post other photos until Wednesday, but Scooter in the preshow looks great, lots of the black light stuff is Muppetfied, and there’s a bunch of references and reuse of old props.

The universal hotels are having sand sculptures themed to different movies this summer! Got to see the one at Sapphire yesterday, with the others being built throughout the week!

Anniversary dinner at Michelin Starred Camilles at Baldwin Park!

We had afternoon tea at the Ette and it was sublime! Amazing tea selection from France, delightful sandwiches and scone, and exquisite desserts!

Forgot to post but we went to the once upon a magic market yesterday and had to get a flower sourdough focaccia from le partage bakery and a berry bloom matcha from the couture cart (the theme was living with the land 🥰)

Crossed off a bucketlist item and got a tattoo from an Artist who I followed for years aspiring to get one eventually 🥰 Highly recommend Peachmoon Tattoos, her midcentury modern style is stunning and she is such an amazing artist and person!

We had a great day, I thought it was going to be a non ride day since we had a lot of seasonal things we wanted to hit but we got the best of both worlds with a late start!

Glad I saw this in fb yesterday! I had heard of the market but didn’t follow closely to know this months theme and date, made for a nice day out

I am glad I made some time to come see Susan and James. It was a dream come true to hear her sing “I wont say i’m in love” but when she started singing “home” (which is my favorite song) I cried and then they finished with BATB, it was the perfect set. James also sang “friend like me” ofc!

I said I was over blind boxes but I met Nyota and fell in love. She’s introspective and finds joy in the cozy everyday things, and her cat! I related to her and the art just had that cozy, sketch vibe. I genuinely would be happy with any of her figures, but I was ecstatic to get a book and cat one.

I found photos of my first attempt where I didn’t have bread flour and aldi only had bleached AP and omg what a difference haha (the first one still tasted good though!). The one on the left is my second attempt and first real attempt with actual bread flour.

Earlier this year I got a sourdough starter from a coworker and I have made a few different things using the discard (pizza, soda bread, cheddar scones and banana bread) but today I made my first sourdough and it was a success!

The sunset walk cafe changed ownership again now its la boom and has a turkish menu with macarons and pastries still. We will be back for shakshouka but got a pistachio cookie and latte and both were divine!

You know alex loves me because he will tolerate my Christmas movie must watch every year with our Christmas dinner 😅

Also trying out an advent calendar book! I missed yesterday so doubled up today but I truly want to force myself to stick to one a day every day to have the intended effect! Its a cozy little YA romance so cute and fluffy, perfect for Christmas

Late to the punch but we are giving the cheese advent calendar from Aldi another try! (We had it YEARS ago but the cheeses were always boring and basic) This year they seem to have more variety so I am hype! I also wish I had gotten the chocolate and wine as they pair, so next year!
