Lore time!!! L4 got his name from Bullet, as the symbols on his ID card can be interpreted as Logic 4 which is basically just the name of the whole unit L4 is in. But since L4 dosen't actually HAVE a name shortening Logic 4 to just 'L4' worked for the both of em.
