Hell of a day for June announcements for @arrowvideo.bsky.social , lol. I was lucky to assist on the Chan set, including some text/cuts reconstructions. Also got to give Bullet In The Head a "once over" on the credits and on screen texts on top of porting over my previous work on the Shout version.

Well, I got lucky with film footage being found for a rare cut of a movie thanks to ripped audio tracks once before... can I do it again? Actually, it's looking less likely this time 🙃 But at least the cut in question this time had a rare VHS release, though previously in the wrong language, lol.

Maybe Donnie was combining two David Carradine characters: Kwai Chang Caine from Kung Fu and The Blind Man from Circle of Iron 🤣

Welp, finally left that other social media platform that inspired this one (IYKYK)... got a bit tired of going "hey, I'm proud of this thing I worked on" only for someone to swoop in within 15 minutes and go "um, ackchually, here's all the reasons it sucks."

Just saw a review for the 4K of My Girl, where they warn those who haven't seen the film "beware, newcomers, it has bite"... wouldn't it be more accurate to say "it has stings"?

When you watch a Japanese cut of a Hong Kong film, most of which is dubbed in Japanese, and suddenly catch a scene where it reverts back to Cantonese but in a different dubbing from its HK counterpart...

Between this and Last Voyage of The Demeter, I'm waiting to see if the shoe drops with Scream Factory putting out a 4K of Abigail (I legit don't know, I'm usually only kept up to date behind the scenes on the Hong Kong titles, LOL)

Every once in a while I open my DMs, and this is the result... hopefully it's something that we can make the stars align on, but it would be a great "get".

Hmm, I'm wondering if any of those 4Ks from 88 Films are any of the unannounced Ja... hmm, I should wait... or maybe it's their first 4K of a S... nah, should still wait...
