Mum & dad had chips from the market today & sat nearby to eat them. The pigeons love the market area & hassle people for food, but it's very important not to feed them. Dad says they're flying rats, but mum says all birds are important.

Happy 34th wedding anniversary to our mum & dad. 34 years is so long we think they must've got married when Shakespeare was alive! 😹 As usual mum gave dad a romantic card (on left) & dad's card to mum is very true 😹

Although it's a warm day I'm having an indoor sunpuddle #Hedgewatch. It's so noisy outside as our road is still being dug up by the water company though they've just had a 30 minute tea break. Mum hopes they hurry up as our water is turned off until they've replaced the pipes.

Happy #blackcatappreciationday Me, Mallory, Oscar & Lucifer all had sad stories. I was born in a rescue centre. Mallory was adopted at 4 & Oscar at 8 after waiting for new humans for ages. Lucifer was a poorly kitten in a pet shop. All adopted by my pawrents who love panfurs 🐈‍⬛️

Not only did the staff leave us for a million days to go on holiday, but they think that photos of beaches are more interesting than pictures of us! On the plus side their trip to Scotland did mean they visited our dear pal @rothesaytowncat.bsky.social

What are we going to do with my stupid little brother? He climbed out of the window again. It was only open a few inches, but he pushed it wide open. He eventually got down from the lean-to roof by walking across next door's roof to a high fence 🙀 Oulton

So hot today. Coolest place is the granite hearth. Thruxton is being a pain. After climbing out of the upstairs window the other night & getting stuck on the lean-to roof today he's climbed out twice & got stuck despite the back door being open so he could've gone out anyway! 😾 Oulton

Having a lazy CLAWS #Hedgewatch next to the buttercups that mum planted. She hopes they'll spread. So hot today. Mum has joined me in the shade. Most of the day she's been doing accounts (boring) for a charity she volunteers with, but is now outside listening to the swifts fly over & watching 1/2

I've had an adventure! I jumped out of the upstairs window onto the lean-to roof. I couldn't get back in the window & refused to leap down from the roof. Eventually managed to jump back into the window with dad leaning out to grab me. Now I want to go out again 😿 Thruxton

Rabbits live in one of our city centre parks even though it is surrounded by busy roads. Mum had a sit down in the park when she was carrying heavy shopping home (she must be getting old if she needs a rest half way home 😹) Today there was a black bunny alongside the brown ones.

We had haddock for supper. Mum couldn't cook as power's been off for 4 hours (in addition to powercut from 3 - 9am) so she went to the chip shop & the haddock was the size of a whale so plenty left over for us!

I think #NoMowMay is also NoWeedingMay in our garden. All the plants in the pots are weeds - I mean wildflowers, but mum says the insects like them 🐝🐞 Oulton

Mum bought a new catmint plant & I tried it before it was even out of the bag. I let Oulton have a sniff of it once it was unpacked while I had a nibble of our existing plant which is rapidly getting covered by the geraniums ❤️ Thruxton

A day late for #WhiskersWednesday but this is the first good photo mum has got of my whiskers. My whiskers may be fine as in slender, but they're also fine as in exquisite 😸

Mum shoved me in a box & took me to the vet. I yelled at everyone we passed on the walk there. Explored the sink, cupboard, drawers & chair in the vet room. Beginning to think 'This isn't too bad' then they stabbed me with a vaccination & started discussing my poo 🙀 Thruxton

Too hot in the sunshine today so we had stretches and snoozes in the shade at the end of the garden ☀️
