Update on my GameCube 100% challenge, finished Rocket Power Beach Bandits earlier this month. 🚀 This was tolerable, it's one of those games where they obviously thought 'More Mechanics = Better Game'. None of this was 'bad' just... boring an uninspired.

Update on my GameCube 100% challenge, finished Sega Soccer Slam last month. ⚽ This was fine, the mechanics were simple but the games were relatively fun enough. For a single player experience there wasn't much to do, I'd imagine this is far better as a party game.

Update on my GameCube 100% challenge, finished Taz: Wanted last month. 😈 This was a pretty standard platformer, the biggest issue was the appallingly low and unstable frame rate. I'm not even sure why it got so bad, the level designs didn't seem to be that complicated...?

Update on my GameCube 100% challenge, finished Kelly Slater's Pro Surfer last month. 🏄‍♂️This like Tony Hawk Pro Skater but with waves, a worse game but nevertheless still pretty fun. This took a long time as it required 13 playthroughs, like most extreme sports games. 💤

Update on my GameCube 100% challenge, finished Madden NFL 2003 last month. 🏈 I don't care about American Football but I can see why they released this yearly, there's clearly plenty of stuff to do. The diversity of teams and the customisation options were ridiculous.

Update on my GameCube 100% challenge, finished Super Mario Sunshine earlier this month. ☀️ I'm not a huge fan of this, it's certainly a solid GameCube game but there are far better 3D Mario games. There's simply too much jank and repetition for me to consider it fantastic. 🤔

Update on my GameCube 100% challenge, finished Pro Rally earlier this month. 🏁 The hardest part about this was the training mode, everything else was either trivial or challenging but manageable. Overall it was pretty good, enough content for a decent single-player experience.

Update on my GameCube 100% challenge, finished MX Superfly earlier this month. 🏍️ There are no good motorcross games on GameCube, this one was at least somewhat tolerable. The racing was trivial once I realised that clutch boosts and sharp turns were never necessary.

Update on my GameCube 100% challenge, 'finished' WWE WrestleMania X8 last month. 🤼 This was about as fun as Legends of Wrestling. It's similarly complex in terms of mechanics, had more modes and better visuals but had much worse controls.

Update on my GameCube 100% challenge, finished UFC: Throwdown at the start of the month. ✊ Back from my winter hiatus with a comfortable but boring game. The 'punish players for missing' mechanics made sense conceptionally but were too strict in practice.

Taken a hiatus from my GameCube challenge to complete Shadow Dragon on the DS, beat the game on the hardest difficulty and unlocked all the events. ⚔ Definitely the hardest FE game I've played, though my H5 playthrough used looots of boss / arena abuse. 😅 Cain was the GOAT.

Update on my GameCube 100% challenge, finished Freekstyle last month. 🏍 This is like SSX Tricky but much worse, good enough to be average but seriously let down by janky physics and hostile level designs. That said, it's still the best GameCube motorcross I've played so far. 🤷‍♂️

Update on my GameCube 100% challenge, finished Doshin the Giant the other week. 🙂 Personally, I think this is better when viewed as art rather than a video game. I found the gameplay very slow and boring, there's literally a part where you just stand still for 5-10 minutes. 💤

Update on my GameCube 100% challenge, finished Worms Blast the other week. 🐛 Whoever designed the last level can go to hell, otherwise this is a fairly decent puzzle game and very flash game-like. There's very little reason to consider this a 'Worms game' but it's still fun.

Update on my GameCube 100% challenge, finished Aggressive Inline this week. 🛹 I really enjoyed this, the controls felt intuitive and the vibes were great. The level designs were very fun, they definitely focused more on platforming than (say) Tony Hawk games.

Update on my GameCube 100% challenge, finished James Bond 007: Agent Under Fire last week. 🔫 To my surprise, this had really good mechanics and fun map designs. The only thing letting this down is the shortage of levels, but it's still a game I'd recommend to people. 🥺

Update on my GameCube 100% challenge, 'finished' Jeremy McGrath SuperCross World on Friday. 🏍 I say 'finished' because the mechanics are literally broken and this makes Freestyle mode impossible to beat, so 100% simply isn't possible. They definitely didn't play test this. 😂

Update on my GameCube 100% challenge, finished 18 Wheeler American Pro Trucker on Thursday. 🚚 The parking mode was very fun but sadly there were just 6 levels, the arcade mode was okay but generally quite repetitive. This game had a lot of potential that was simply lost... 😭
