That’s me in the corner
pinned post!
Given the whole new start on the new platform, I thought I might try and start doing an ongoing music thing, almost an opposite of a deep dive, which I’m going to call
#7days7songs
- a quick splash into a different artist each week. Sometimes I might have a bit to say, sometimes I probably won’t.

Much better for Liverpool to lose 1-2 and have an important player sent off. Lovely stuff.

Well in reds, nice comfortable home win. Haven’t been able to say that much over recent years.

I do kind of wish there was an ICE equivalent to focus purely on people who don’t take their backpacks off on the tram. Absolute sub-human scum.

I’m not particularly complaining as I’ve quite enjoyed watching the goals from the weekend from every conceivable angle, but I am beginning to suspect that I was the only person not to have been filming the match on their phone.

Good day for United but the headlines bound to be the CEO punching the sporting director in the face whilst the minority owner eggs him on.

3 disallowed goals and 2 off the woodwork. 5-0 wouldn’t have flattered United today.

I wasn’t clamouring for Amorim to be sacked but he can’t have any complaints. Last few days it seemed pretty clear something was afoot. Don’t think Wilcox etc heads should be on the block yet. If they hire 2 or 3 managers and it keeps going wrong then fair enough but no one complained when…

Good half. Deserved lead. Back four. Semenyo acting like someone who thinks they’ll be at Liverpool in a few weeks.

Australia fucked that last half hour right up. England’s day given how it started and how it ended. Could do with another 30 or 40, but it’s a total that keeps them in the game.

Gutted about Robin Smith. Was my favourite cricketer when I got into cricket in 1991. Was only reading the other day about how he’d drank a bottle of vodka a day for 12 years but had managed to get through that period despite at one point having a 5% chance of getting out of hospital. ☹️

My 6 year old daughter got massively into traitors over the last month (as you do). My wife received a note from her the other day, and expected it to be the standard ‘I love you mummy’ stuff. She was wrong.

Explosive ending cannot mask flaws of Tottenham and Manchester United | Jonathan Wilson
This match was as dismal as last season’s Europa League final and in a routine league game nerves provided no excuse

Also, 8 points from Liverpool (a), Brighton (h), Forest (a) and Spurs (a) is a very good return for a team who at best are aiming for 4th.

Get in United, would have been extremely harsh to have lost that. Lose so much when Casemiro goes off. Important goal that though, changes the mood music massively. Spurs were shite.

Mbeumo’s header in the build up to the goal was so smart, kept the attack alive

Feels like there’s a general reaction of disappointment at the result today - if United can win their home games and pick up some draws more frequently away from home, there’ll do well. I thought 7 points would be par (for a top 6 chasing team) from Liverpool, Brighton, Forest and Spurs.

Not a bad result, definitely a game we’d have lost last season. Tense listening again.

Thought Casemiro was impressive at the weekend and it got me thinking - He came off when we were 1-0 up at Fulham He came on when we already 0-3 down at city He got sent off when we were 2-0 up v Chelsea so missed the 1-3 defeat at Brentford He came off at 3-0 v Brighton

At 3-0 (and even 2-0) it was the first time in a LONG time I felt relaxed that United would win the game. Obviously got edgy at 3-2 but I do think 4-2 was a more accurate reflection of the match. United looked really good in the main.

Get in United. Excellent until the subs and thought it highlighted why Kobbie isn’t trusted yet in CM, too often ahead of the ball. In De Ligt, Casemiro, Bruno, Mbeumo and Cunha, United have a really reliable spine.

Going to be a while until I stop thinking ‘if only we’d won at Brentford’. In saying that, will be a while until I stop thinking ‘we won at Liverpool!’.

Nice boring 2-0 win. Keeper didn’t have much to do but looked calm in almost everything he did. Casemiro MotM but de Ligt and Sesko also standouts.
