RIP Peter Watkins, creator of numerous masterpieces but Punishment Park remains one of the most important touchstones for my younger self. An unbelievable film, still enormously relevant decades later.

We didn't really get to boost CFM during Pride month last year bc it came out in July. Anyway, we wrote a book about the history of transness of cinema. Corpses, Fools and Monsters is a good choice if you're looking for something to read this month. Trans people have always been here, even in movies

Joan the Maiden, Part 1: The Battles (Rivette, 1994) Finally saw the full 160 minute version. The most patriotic of movies because it makes me proud to be a Frenchman (i ainβt french).
