06/01/26-How the sunset started and how it ended.

My kiddos see a yard of wishes.

Sometimes I just have to sit and watch the sunset at the end of the day.

So demanding at 5:30 in the morning!

Several years ago I made the decision to let my preschoolers choose books for their learning opportunities and I would have to work with what they choose. This is going to be interesting. [Challenge accepted]

I was sitting on my porch enjoying the sunshine, that the northeast is finally getting. I had just finished listening to What the Heck with @hcrichardson.bsky.social and @jbf1755.bsky.social and was listening to Eric Church's commencement speech to the Tar Heels when I looked up to see Mr & Mrs.

Whether letting my dog out, folding laundry or just moving a solar light into the sun, 🎶I always feel like somebody's watching me 🎶

As a child care provider leader, I made this for my providers but I feel it is relevant for anyone who works with young children.

The cardinals have been extra vocal today.

Here in Northern VT we haven't seen a whole lot of the sun in recent weeks so I feel I have to take a Pic when we do.

I can't even spread cranberries for birds and other critters without supervision 😎

I was outside watching my kiddos run around the yard. Mr. Cardinal didn't seem to mind the noise.

President Trump’s top child care official is preparing a “bonfire” of child care and preschool regulations. The changes could directly touch millions of Americans, particularly poor families who rely on federal subsidies for day care and other needs.

I am sitting here watching the children in my child care program eat their lunch so I was scrolling some news articles. I started to read, but decided I needed to wait until after direct care hours. To borrow a phrase from @hcrichardson.bsky.social , my head was going to explode.

It has been a long cold winter here in Vermont. I feel the look of my 16 year old "pup" speaks for most of us in the Northeast.

Got to watch Mr Fox chase some squirrels at 7 am.

Took a minute to pull over to just watch the sunset.

I was recently counting change from a fundraiser for the VT Children's Hospital when I found this quarter. I started thinking about @hcrichardson.bsky.social because this is what she has been working to give people for some time now.

Someone wasn't happy that the feeders were empty at 6:30 am.

I feel like Mrs. Cardinal is holding me personally responsible for the snow that was on the ground in April 20th here in VT.

When you are trying to put a clean couch cover on your couch but someone thinks your attention should be in them.

Going from 73 degrees on Saturday to snow on Sunday here in VT is not my idea of funny.

Mrs. Cardinal thinks the squirrel is too close and is thinking I need to get it to move😄

I am easily distracted by red dots in my window.

The wind was blowing, the little branch was swaying but he didn't move. Seems like a good message.

As I was walking my dog at 5:30 thus morning a bird flew in front of me. I didn't know it was a cardinal until I heard this "music". When I got home and listened to @hcrichardson.bsky.social politics chat from 4/ 9, I thought I would share.

Went to my exercise class to receive some stress and came out to a pretty decent view.

Brutal.

When you work with young children you have to be present for them. Those birds sure do help balance the energy.

Started Easter Sunday with a window view of two male cardinals and ended with nice sunset.

Before my dad passed, he would always wish me a happy birthday on April 1st, even though my birthday is the 2nd, because he called me his April fool.

Whatcha lookin' at?! Most people consider me a bird watcher. I say I have stalkers. I don't know they are there until they start making noise.

A Light rain does not stop my 16 uear old "pup' from wanting to go for a morning walk.
