Pam Bondi just sent a letter to Minnesota officials saying ICE will leave if the state turns over its voter database to Trump. Guess what? This has never been about safety or immigration. It’s a pretext for Trump to take over elections in swing states.

Wake up, everybody. Tonight we shine a light for Minnesota. For our neighbors. For our communities. For Alex. We step outside at 7 PM with candles to mourn, to witness, and to demand accountability. Peace is not passive. Community is power.

Yes it’s nice to see if media or corporations are standing up to this regime. But is that important? In the end, no. Why? Because media is already lost. And corporations won’t budge until their board members’ whine about their bottom line. What’s important is what YOU and YOUR community can do NOW.

I want to give a shout out to my undergrad history, lit, government and philosophy professors. You helped me read the tea leaves. Grad J-school professors- you forced me to continue to seek. Living though the past 10 years and what’s yet to come would be even harder without a liberal arts education.

I have elderly family members who rely on Medicaid. Do you? If these cuts happen, elder care will change. They won’t get the meds and cere the need or women will quit the work force. Families won’t have the income they need to make ends meet. Elder care jobs will be lost..all for greed.
