I had a wonderful massage this evening. Boy did I need that. Nice to practice self care from time to time.

On Scruff, when a hot guy with a single picture reached out unsolicited and wants to chat, I go on alert. As soon as they ask what I do for a living, I either say barista or sandwich maker. That’s usually the last I hear of them. They then assume that I don’t want to buy bitcoin.

Yesterday I had my second shingles vaccine. Yes, kiddies I’m of that age. I’m tired and I feel stuffy (same reaction to every vaccine I receive) and I’m popping Motrin to keep the headache away. Better than shingles, right? 🫣

This morning’s project, I baked almond frangipane pastries.

Attention! I’ve just been informed that Shamrock shakes have returned to McDonald’s!!

Sitting at Rollapalooza across the street from Sidetrack, scrolling this while waiting for sushi is fun!!

Headed to the gayborhood to take care of routine testing and bloodwork. Afterwards I think I’ll treat myself to a couple happy hour libations at Sidetrack. Out with the blood, in with the vodka.

I cooked a dish with fish sauce as an ingredient. I need to remember that fish sauce needs to be a warm weather ingredient so I can open the windows to air the place out during cooking and after. Good thing the end result is delicious.

Phew! For a hot minute I thought my main account was gone. A couple beers in and I still managed to make it through the recovery process and reset my password. Now that I’ve checked it, I don’t have to go back to it for a couple months.

I’m both sad and angry that we lose lovely people like Catherine O’Hara but we remain stuck with the orange shit-stain and his gang of idiots. I am not okay with any of this.

From my archives (aka random box of crap): back in the mid to late ‘00s, Jackhammer had a hostess - “Barbie.” She would teeter around the place, serving “Barbie shots.” She has a thick German accent. Anybody else remember her? #jackhammerchicago

The clouds appear to be thinning and I’m seeing hints of sun. Maybe I’m just overly optimistic, maybe I’m just horny to be nearly naked outside. I think I’m headed to the beach.

I took a PTO day today, hoping for a Hollywood Beach (Chicago) day but weather looks dubious. It would be nice to hang out naked with someone.
