Watching the new season of Stranger Things. Hopefully The Fall get to number one thanks to this great publicity. Mark E. Smith would be thrilled.

Now I've heard there was a secret chord that Lorde played, and it pleased David.

The new season of Stranger Things is up on Netflix today, but what you might not know is that Netflix has also just put up Blue Velvet and The Blair Witch Project.

Today, the library had a book on the shelf for me that I hadnât ordered (The Second Wife by Rebecca Fleet). Someone had mistakenly put a note on it with my name on it and when I checked the note it was for Shadow Ticket by Thomas Pynchon.

If The Beatles would have been around today, they could have avoided any creative differences by releasing four versions of each song i.e Maxwellâs Silver Hammer (Johnâs version).

One thing about Twitter, it is still good at focusing on your interests, no matter how mundane. If Bluesky could do this (i.e less F1 Vegas, AEW Full Gear, USC Football etc) then that would be great. I accept it is still probably a work in progress.

Staying optimistic about this by keeping in mind that most people will reject AI fiction since AI canât write fiction because, to quote DFW, fiction is about âwhat it is to be a fucking human beingâ. AI canât do that as it is not a human being.

While Iâve got nothing against this âword of the yearâ as such, I donât think we are any more parasocial than any other year (this century).
