Learner Tien needed just under an hour to win the final match against Alex Blockx. Avenging his loss in the finals last year to Joao Fonseca and a great win leading into the new season. His new coaching relationship with Michael Chang is working. #NextGenATPFinals 🎾

Learner Tien remains dominant over Nishesh Basavareddy, who to be fair was hurt. He is back in the finals of the NextGen finals where he will meet Alex Blockx in a rematch of the Australian Open junior final from 2023. Should be fun. 🎾

Bit of a bummer. Play was stopped because Nishesh Basavareddy was bleeding on the court 🥴 He split his finger while throwing something in the trash in the locker room before the match and H&S rules mean play had to stop. He is back playing now and hopefully the cut doesn’t open up again. 🎾

2nd match is underway between Nishesh Basavareddy and Learner Tien with the players already trading early breaks. Nishesh has never beaten Learner in the 3 previous meetings, can he turn things around? 🎾

Alex Blockx defeats Nicolai Kjær to lock in the first finalist spot at this year’s NextGen Final. He is undefeated in all his matches and is looking really good. Kjær was impressive this tournament. One to watch for sure in 2026. 🎾

Alex Blockx takes a tight 2nd set and is well on his way to the finals. Kjær pushed Blockx in the 2nd, taking it to another tiebreak but Blockx held his head better. 🎾

Blockx takes the first set. His serving so far is so go. Kjær is so good tho. That was a quick, fun set. Never watched Kjær before this tournament. Good addition to team Norway. 🎾

These kids are holding serve like it’s nothing 😅 Already at a tiebreaker. Because these matches go to 4 games and not 6in NextGen, you can blink and a set is done. 🎾

Ok let’s do this. NextGen semifinals are starting now. Who is watching along with us? First match is Blockx v Kjær. Nice to see Arthur Fils here for the coin toss. Can’t wait to see him back healthy on tour. 🎾

We are still easing into watching matches again but these semifinals in Jeddah might get us back into it. Great matchups that see favourites Tien and Basavareddy clashing and new to us Kjær taking on the talented Blockx. And matches start at 11am ET. Win-win #NextGenATPFinals 🎾
