The Fool on the Chill; a review of The Tawny Man The third trilogy, The Tawny Man, ("Fool's Errand," "The Golden Fool," and "Fool's Fate," are the three books) not only acknowledges the gaps between the seemingly separate worlds, but begins to narrow it. We return to the world of the Six Duchies, and reacquaint ourselves with the two most central characters, FitzChivalry and The Fool. Fifteen years have passed since the end of the Farseer stories, and Fitz is now Tom Badgerlock, nondescript peasant farmer. He lives with his wolf, Nighteyes, with whom he is Witted, and an adopted son, Hap. Very few people know he’s alive, and even fewer that Tom is actually Fitz.
